02 · Decide how we govern it

Put a gate where work becomes public.

Who decides, who reviews, and who is accountable?

01 / Understand it

Governance for fast creative work is about one durable checkpoint, not many small ones. The question is what must be true before something is published, and who has authority to say it is not ready.

  • One real gate beats many soft ones

A single checkpoint people cannot route around does more than several advisory ones.

  • Factual claims need a source

Features, availability, pricing and performance claims require verification, not plausible copy.

  • Somebody must be able to say no

A reviewer without authority to stop publication is not governing anything.

02 / See it in context
Meet LucasDigital-content coordinator

A drafted product page for a client includes 'Pay online and book instantly.' The client's product does neither. The copy is well written, on brand, and was nearly published because it read as though someone had confirmed it.

Lucas and every example here are prepared learning material, not a real case or an AI-generated result.

My governance outline

  1. Define publishable

Write what must be true before anything goes public — sources recorded, factual claims verified, rights confirmed, named approver.

    You produce
    A publishable definition.
    Worth reviewing with
The person accountable for client delivery.
  2. Separate claims from copy

Require factual claims to be listed separately and checked against client-confirmed information.

    You produce
    A claims check step.
    Ask yourself
Who confirms a capability claim — you or the client?
  3. Give the gate teeth

Name who may hold publication and confirm that holding it is supported, not penalized.

    You produce
A named approver with real authority.
    Ask yourself
    Has anyone ever used it?
  4. Log the catches

Record claims that were caught before publication. This is your evidence about where drafting is unreliable.

    You produce
    A claims log.
    Ask yourself
What type of claim goes wrong most?

Invented functionality, fluent copy.

The draft describes instant booking. The product has no such feature. The copy is otherwise excellent.

What is the governance requirement?

Every option has an explanation. Open as many as you like — nothing is recorded or scored.
